Jch,

What Ason is telling you is the truth, but what you need to consider is what it will do to your credit score. By adding him to your card, you are opening his credit history up to being part of your history and effecting your credit score. Just like your credit score adding points to his, his credit history will take points away your score. He needs to be working on improving his credit score, not trying to use yours to qualify for a mortgage.

Thanks a lot - I hadn't considered it that way. Your info is very good. My wife and I are at 740 or so and he is about 600 - it wouldn't work out well for us. Thanks again......jch
