What to feed 4 month old baby girl as first solid food?

Just been on milk (formula) so far, is four months too early to let her start trying solids?

From my own experience, pediatric consultations, lactation consultations, and the experience of other moms, I believe well-smushed (to the soupy point) bananas are good for first food. Others say rice cereal, but I prefer bananas - my own experience with my children is my main adviser. There is little to worry about allergy-wise with bananas.

I have a four month old baby & what i have read is that this is not the right time to start weaning as their digestive track is not that strong & their head is still a little wobbly which can make them choke as we see sometimes even with milk they choke so wait for 5 to 6 months.

Try giving her foods such as: mashed potato, mashed carrot, mashed banana, juice(only one kind once a week) and mashed rice.

Hope this helps you :)

Boiled carrets then mash them up, bananas mixed with formula or breast milk, mashed peas
