First, a big welcome to all the new members that have joined Community Knowledge since my last newsletter. We are happy to have you as a member of our online community!
There's been lots of 'behind the scenes' work going on at
Community Knowledge.
Community-Knowledge.com is now on a cloud! We've gone from being on a single computer, to having a "slice" of a
large network (a cloud) of computers.
There are several advantages to this. First of all, redundancy. With a single server (computer), if one thing breaks, everything crashes. On the cloud, there
is no single point of failure. Now if something breaks, Community-Knowledge.com just rolls over to another part of the cloud and keeps going.
The move to the cloud also improved the quality and frequency of our backups. We are gathering some great information at Community Knowledge, and we don't
want to lose it! We needed a great backup system - now we've got it.
And then there's scalability. As Community-Knowlege.com grows, we'll need more space, more memory, and more cpu. With the cloud, I can easily and instantly add more resources to our system. We are poised for growth!

Site Changes
Member profiles now include location (country). This will help answerers reply with the correct regional information, when needed.
To add your location to your profile, after logging in, go to 'profile', then 'edit profile', and you'll see the location menu.
Site Opps
During the move to the cloud, a couple of member avatars were lost. I still haven't figured out how. If you find that there's a broken link where your avatar should be, please re-upload your avatar through the 'edit profile' link. Sorry about that.
