Can you put two female hamsters together successfully in a large cage?

It is possible to put them together but there is no guarantee that they wont fight a little.
but for physical reasons , you should be fine

Yes, hamsters are social animals and should be fine together, just monitor at first to make sure.
And, um, make sure both hamsters female, or you may end up with more than you intended!
