Any tips for fixing a slow sink drain? I’ve used several different drain clog chemicals and it helps but never seems to last very long.
Answer #2
Go down to your local hardware store and get a small drain auger.
I had the same problem, but now every time it gets slow I just twist the auger down through the drain, it clears out, and all is well again.
Just be sure to take care of the auger, I lay mine out and give it a quick spray of wd-40 after each use. If it gets rusty, don’t use it. They break if rusty (yeh, learned from experience, and you’re up a creek without a paddle when one breaks down inside a drain, luckily mine broke near the top and I was able to fish it out).

Use Vinegar…and get it hot, pour down Baking soda…and POOF…no fuss no muss, bubbling away the crud blocking your pipes.
Answer #4
Don’t try the vinegar and baking soda solution if you have already poured any other chemicals down the drain and there is any chance there is any residue of them in the drain. You may end up with more of a reaction that intended!
And as that goes, even the drain snake shouldn’t be used if there are any caustic chemicals possibly left in the drain.
