Yes, there are cell phone viruses, hacks and spyware all.
Though currently not as common as regular computer viruses, cell phone viruses are a growing concern. Especially with the growth in the number of smart phones, iphones, pda’s.
If your phone is behaving badly, if you have pop ups, unexplained charges from other countries or wierd per call charges, your contacts are missing or corrupted, a virus is one of the potential causes.
Protecting yourself is the same as protecting yourself while on your regular computer. Don’t open unknown attachments, unexpected ‘updates’, or other unexpected files, pictures, spam, etc. There are more and more firewalls and antivirus programs being developed.
