Halogen light making high pitch whine. Would replacing the bulb make any difference?
It’s one of those indoor lamps on a tall pole, open part faces up. About 12 years old. The whine is loudest when the bulb is dimmed about half way, which is where it needs to be for the light to be about right.
Is it doing that because of age? Quality of bulb, or..?
