Buying a flat TV, should it be plasma, lcd, or..?
I want to get a medium sized tv I can hang on a wall. What are my basic options and what it best?

Lcd is better then plasma the tvs can be thinner and lighter plasma tvs use a gas and they have to be re gassed after so long and a friend of mine had a plasma and he found out that tv channels that broadcast with their logos on the screen can burn on to the plasma

I believe some of these responses are based on data that began to change 2 – 21/2 years ago. But first, run quickly from anyone who answers your question before asking, and receiving, the details of your viewing habits, or your viewing desires.
That said check out HDGURU.COM. It seems to be one of two reliable video technology sites for unbiased reviews…..plus they actually use instruments to measure against standards and to compare products……..no more of the "greens seemed to be" type statements. The site just published their "Top Ten" sets ….all technologies…..I think you will find it interesting…….bottom line is that if this is going to be your main set, and is in a fairly large room, you will find that either a Samsung or Panasonic plasma is the best buy and picture.
There will be twenty answers vehemently denying my sanity. I can back up my statements via published documents and multiple reviews from knowledgeable sites. Just do your research.

You’llbe very happy you did. Plasma is easier to damage and becoming more expesive to repair as it finds it way out of fashion.
Although nothing is cheap, LCD’s are more hardy.
